Florida Farm Bureau Federation is seeking a passionate, serving, and motivated Leadership Programs Coordinator to play a vital role in the success of the Young Farmers and Ranchers (YF&R) Leadership Group and the Women’s Leadership Committee (WLC). As part of the Field Services Division, the Leadership Programs Coordinator will also focus on our next generation of agriculturalists within our FFA, 4-H, and Junior Cattlemen’s programs.

The listed pay range is the starting salary for the position.

Under the direction of the Director of Field Services, the Leadership Programs Coordinator will develop and coordinate programs that provide education and leadership development to enable young adults to become engaged members of the Florida Farm Bureau Federation and leaders throughout the agricultural industry. This position is also responsible for organizing Florida Farm Bureau women through existing programs within our organization for the purpose of achieving the Federation’s policy goals and objectives.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the Young Farmers & Ranchers (YF&R) Leadership Program, including the YF&R Leadership Group.
  • Coordinate the Women’s Leadership Program, including the Women’s Leadership Committee (WLC).

YF&R Programs Responsibilities

  • Develop strong curriculum and coordinate the activities of the Florida Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Leadership Group.
  • Prepare surveys following each seminar to gather feedback that will continually strengthen the program.
  • Provide leadership training and development for young, active members in preparation to assume the responsibilities of leadership within Farm Bureau and positively promote Florida agriculture and Farm Bureau.
  • Provide educational opportunities and experiences for young members to learn more about the history, philosophy, structure, programs, and services of the Farm Bureau organization.
  • Provide opportunities for young, active members to participate in Farm Bureau activities at county, state, and national levels.

Women’s Programs Responsibilities

  • Develop strong curriculum and coordinate activities of the Florida Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee.
  • Prepare surveys following each meeting to gather feedback that will continually strengthen the program.
  • Provide educational and leadership opportunities for Florida Farm Bureau women to assume the responsibilities of leadership within Farm Bureau and positively promote Florida agriculture and Farm Bureau.
  • Work alongside the Events Coordinator to organize and run the annual Women’s Leadership Conference in cooperation with the State Women’s Leadership Committee.
  • Organize Florida Farm Bureau women throughout our state for the purpose of achieving the Federation’s policy goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and support for county and district women’s events in cooperation with Field Staff and the State Women’s Committee.
  • Assist in various Florida Ag in the Classroom (FAITC) efforts in the state by helping to develop tools for volunteer leaders to use in their educational efforts.
  • Continue to promote and expand Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program in cooperation with the State Women’s Committee.
  • Work alongside county Farm Bureau leaders to establish viable Women’s Leadership programs at the county level.

Annual Meeting Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Director of Field Services and Events Coordinator to organize aspects of the annual meeting including securing speakers, obtaining sponsorships, and script writing for events involving the YF&R and WLC.
