LOCATION: Hardee Senior High School

POSITION: Agriculture Teacher

REQUIREMENTS: A valid Professional Florida Certificate or a valid Temporary Florida Certificate
in appropriate subject area. Certification in Agriculture 6-12 required.

SALARY: $48,125 plus Sr. High Vocational Agriculture supplement $4,383 (if eligible), plus
adjustments for documented, applicable experience up to fifteen years and supplements as applicable.
(The salary and supplements are pending collective negotiations for the 2024-2025 Salary Schedule)

* Beginning July 1, 1993, all permanent positions with the Hardee County School Board will require
fingerprint screening (criminal history) by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Federal
Bureau of Investigation.
All Employees are probationary until fingerprints are cleared F.S. 1012.32 Pre-employment
requirement – $70.00 charge to employee.

** As of August 26, 1993, pre-employment drug screening is now a requirement for employment with the
Hardee County School Board. Appointment will be contingent upon a satisfactory report from the drug
screening completed by a third party, medical facility, selected by the Hardee County School Board.

MISSION STATEMENT: We provide all students a high-quality education in a nurturing and
creative environment to develop responsible citizens.

This position will teach 9th-12th grade students. The teacher will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing agriculture education in the classroom, within the land lab, and with the FFA program. This position works closely with the other agriculture teacher on campus. This position also entails operating FFA CDE and LDE teams/events, and SAEs.

The teaching facility has a green house, a full mechanics shop, swine barn, and a cattle barn and pasture on campus.  The Hardee FFA program exhibits chapter livestock animals at the Hardee County Fair. These animals are housed on campus in the animal facilities.
