Come join our team!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Now Hiring an Agriculture &amp; Consumer Protection Supervisor- OPS<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Contact Information<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Michelle Smith<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">(850) 410-0933<\/p>\n<p>The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsibilities of this position are to plan and direct the day-to-day activities of ACP Specialist within their span of control.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts emergency preparedness, emergency management and emergency response involving animal related issues.<\/li>\n<li>Position will take active role within the division incident management team during emergency response activities.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for ensuring direct reports fully understand emergency response goals and objectives to effectively conduct animal disease surveillance, emergency response and eradication methods to preserve Florida\u2019s animal agriculture industry.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in recruitment, selection, training and development of field staff.<\/li>\n<li>Establishes and maintains proper biosecurity protocols during the animal disease response.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinates regulatory activities with other bureaus within the division, other divisions within the department and with United States Department of Agriculture\/Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service\/Veterinary Services (USDA\/APHIS\/VS).
