Knowledge of the prescribed curriculum. Knowledge of current educational research.<br \/>\nBasic understanding and knowledge of use of current technology. Knowledge of varied learning<br \/>\nstyles and skill in using varied teaching methods to address student learning styles. Skill in oral<br \/>\nand written communication with students, parents, and others. Ability to plan and implement<br \/>\nactivities for maximum effectiveness. Ability to effectively assess levels of student achievement,<br \/>\nanalyze test results, and prescribe actions for improvement. Ability to maintain appropriate<br \/>\nstudent supervision so that students have a safe and orderly environment in which to learn. Ability<br \/>\nto work effectively with students, peers, administrators, parents, and others. Ability to<br \/>\ndemonstrate specific vocational skills being taught.<\/p>\n<p>REPORTS TO:<br \/>\nPrincipal<\/p>\n<p>JOB GOAL<br \/>\nTo provide an educational atmosphere in which students will move toward the<br \/>\nfulfillment of their potential for intellectual, physical, emotional, and psychological<br \/>\ngrowth and will be prepared for employment and advanced training in the vocational<br \/>\nareas being taught.<\/p>\n<p>SUPERVISES:<br \/>\nN\/A<\/p>\n<p>PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:<br \/>\n* (1) Plan and effectively implement instructional activities designed to achieve goals and<br \/>\nobjectives of the curriculum.<br \/>\n* (2) Provide a safe, supportive environment that stimulates academic, moral, and social<br \/>\ngrowth.<br \/>\n* (3) Meet with and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated.<br \/>\n* (4) Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and oral form with students, parents,<br \/>\nand others.<br \/>\n* (5) Provide specific instruction on the safe use of tools and equipment and health and safety<br \/>\nprecautions to be followed.<br \/>\n* (6) Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials,<br \/>\nand facilities.<br \/>\n* (7) Evaluate student progress on a regular basis to include academic and social growth of<br \/>\nstudents.<\/p>\n<p>TEACHER, VOCATIONAL: AGRICULTURE, INDUSTRIAL (Continued)<br \/>\n\u00a9EMCS<br \/>\n* (8) Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, District policy, and<br \/>\nadministrative regulations.<br \/>\n* (9) Assist in enforcement of school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.<br \/>\n*(10) Implement a variety of instructional techniques to meet varying learning styles of students.<br \/>\n*(11) Assist students in learning to accept responsibility, demonstrate respect for people and<br \/>\nproperty, and demonstrate self-discipline.<br \/>\n*(12) Promote and assist in student participation in official student organizations that are<br \/>\nrecognized as a vital part of the vocational program.<br \/>\n*(13) Provide students with the latest research on careers in the vocational area being taught.<br \/>\n*(14) Identify business partners and coordinate activities with business partners designed to<br \/>\nmeet curricular objectives.<br \/>\n*(15) Travel as needed to meet curricular objectives.<br \/>\n(16) Perform other incidental tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position.<\/p>\n<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:<br \/>\nHeavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds of force<br \/>\nfrequently and\/or up to 20 pounds of force as needed to move objects.<\/p>\n<p>TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:<br \/>\nSalary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the District\u2019s approved compensation plan.<br \/>\nLength of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the District.<\/p>\n<p>EVALUATION:<br \/>\nPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board\u2019s policy on<br \/>\nevaluation of personnel.<br \/>\n*Essential
