Agriculture Relations Coordinator

Join Feeding Florida as an Agricultural Relations Coordinator and help strengthen the connection between Florida agriculture and hunger relief. This role works directly with farmers and agricultural partners to increase food recovery, expand market opportunities, and ensure more Florida-grown products reach families in need. As a member of the Farmers Feeding Florida team, you’ll collaborate with Feeding Florida’s nine-member food banks and industry partners to advance statewide agricultural programs, represent the organization at conferences, farm visits, and industry events, and promote innovative partnerships that benefit both agriculture and communities across the state. The position also supports emergency response efforts by coordinating agricultural resources, tracking inventory, and working alongside the Florida Division of Emergency Management during disasters.

Agriculture Relations Coordinator
Feeding Florida’s food banks work closely with Florida’s agriculture industry to source fresh, local food and distribute it to families in need. These relationships with farmers and ranchers are essential to expanding access to healthy and affordable food across the state. The Agriculture Relations Coordinator supports Feeding Florida’s agricultural engagement strategy, including the Farmers Feeding Florida program, which builds strong cross-industry partnerships. This remote, Florida-based position will focus on program execution, relationship management, and advancing both short- and long-term strategic initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities
• Cultivate and strengthen strategic relationships with key agricultural partners to position Feeding Florida and its nine-member food banks as preferred recipients of agricultural donations, financial support, and supply chain partnerships
• Serve as an active member of the Farmers Feeding Florida team, collaborating with food banks, procurement staff, and industry partners to support produce recovery and other commodity programs, coordinate opportunities, and advance statewide program goals
• Represent Feeding Florida at in-person professional engagements, including conferences, partner meetings, farm tours, and industry events
• Support communications and marketing efforts that promote opportunities for farmers, ranchers, and processors to engage in food recovery and distribution programs
• Support Emergency Management operations, including inventory tracking, data collection, and daily situation reporting during disaster response in coordination with the Florida Division of Emergency Management (ESF-6)

Required Experience and Qualifications
• 3- 5 years of professional work experience in Florida’s agriculture industry
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships within the agricultural sector, preferably in produce commodity systems
• Strong networking, partnership development, and relationship management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage, input, and analyze data with strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration with team members
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort with virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, WebEx)

Operational
• This is a Florida-based, full-time, remote position with benefits
• This position is likely to travel approximately 20% of the calendar year
• This position will require occasional daytime and overnight travel to the Feeding Florida office in
Tallahassee, to food banks across the state, and to meet with agriculture partners

• Salary range is $55,000-$60,000 and will depend on qualifications and experience
