New State Director of Florida Farm Service Agency

On May 2, 2025, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins announced the appointment of Marcinda Kester as the Florida State Executive Director for the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA). Prior to this role, Ms. Kester served as the County Executive Director for FSA offices in Polk, Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. She also held positions as the Farm Programs Disaster Specialist and Farm Programs Chief for the Kentucky FSA.

FSA State Directors help implement President Trump’s America First agenda and execute the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s policies in planning, organizing, and administering FSA programs through state offices across the country. In her new position, Ms. Kester will oversee the implementation of federal agricultural programs across Florida, including disaster assistance, conservation initiatives, and farm loan programs, aiming to support the state’s farmers and ranchers. Ms. Kester’s experience, relationships and business successes will be a benefit to Florida agriculture.
