With a diverse group of 60+ year-round employees and 800+ seasonal employees, our foundation is built on teamwork, consistency and a desire to create the amazing. Every FSFA team member is a valued part of bringing the fun to the annual Florida State Fair and over 200 year-round experiences to life.

Mission Statement

The Florida State Fair Authority is a dedicated group of individuals which oversee the operations of the Florida State Fairgrounds and the annual Florida State Fair. The mission of the Florida State Fair Authority is to create positive entertainment experiences through: The annual Florida State Fair, a variety of year-round events, quality competitive programs, a commitment to agriculture, education and community service, & a focus on new opportunities.

The Florida State Fairgrounds moved to its current location in 1975, from downtown Tampa!

Type of positions within the organization.

At this time, the FSFA has many different types of positions available such as IT support, Electrical Apprentice, Custodian and many seasonal positions! We are gearing up for the 2022 Fair right now and are in search of cashiers, ticket scanners, docents and greeters. Check out the FSFA website for up to date information throughout the year!

Our environment is fast-paced and unique. There is always something happening on the fairgrounds.

What is one piece of advice you can offer a recent graduate when applying for an entry-level position?

Be sure to research the company you are interviewing with. The company needs to know you are interested in working for them.

What is valued the most in potential candidates?

Teamwork, attention to detail, forward thinker and promptness. 

What is the most common mistake applicants make when applying?

Typos on their resume or application, not dressing professionally for the interview, and not showing reception respect.
